Physical Education For Everybody.

IMG_0309_2The body has a natural ability to heal itself but sometimes needs a little guidance. Physical therapists are experts in observing and assessing movement, alignment and musculoskeletal imbalance. Using a systematic approach of evaluation, a personal treatment plan is designed to ensure optimum recovery. A collaborative effort between therapist and client drives an ideal outcome, whether you are returning from injury, surgery or just want to live a healthier pain free life.

At Mike's Body Shop, patient care is a primary goal. Your treatment plan is specific for your needs, and may include manual therapy techniques, exercises, or patient education.

Colleen Quinn is a licensed physical therapist, trainer and yoga teacher with almost 20 years of experience in the field. Her passions lie in helping her clients cultivate a personal awareness of their bodies; both on the purely physical plane as well as the more subtle plane of understanding hidden patterns which contribute to imbalance and compensation. She feels this is the path to unlocking true strength and power which leads to sustainable health and vitality. Using a light hearted and patient, yet intelligent approach she will help guide you back to a state of overall wellbeing.

Colleen is available for one-on-one instruction, and she also launched a great small group workout class at Mikeʼs, called Buddha Goes to Bootcamp! This fun and dynamic, and sometimes intense class, combines the mindfulness of gentle yoga and meditation practices with the physicality of a traditional group workout! Itʼs intended to teach you not only to work out harder, but to work out better! Classes are limited to 10 people, so plenty of supervision is provided. Sign-up before hand is required to attend.
